Dunno as I was nowhere near the engine when it was dyno'ed. Perhaps the graph only printed out upto 7k....best to ask the dudes direct. BTT

Fabulous figures from this engine. Would like to see this car attempt a Topspeed run at Brunters would pay to see that. .

no.. 779 is not enough..
the engine was dynoed at 2.3 bar, but the turbo etc is/was capable of 2.5 bar.. but the owner was well happy with the result..

The turbo that was used is not the turbo that will be used on the car thou.. The turbo they used is going on a EsCos... and it was a .135 exhaust housing on that turbo.. the RS500 is using a 115? exhousing..
or something like that..

That's what the owner of the turbo said on another forum..

Well cool anywho..

The turbo used on the engine.....To tell the hole story: Got hold of a 1985 F1 turbo last year, from mr.Rallycross himself Martin Schanke. New bearings an all 100%. Put it away for my future cosworth engine. Then a guy a know bought himself a RS200 with the big engine in(about 750hk) used in Rallycross by Iversen, in later time it got numberplates and is leagle to use on public road. He's more crazy in driving then a good driver, after spinning around like a crazy one, he blow his turbo. 5 minuts later he was on the phone to me asking to borrow the turbo, because he was on Gatebil meeting, and it was still a hole day to drive. I said OK, as long as I get it back in a hole pice. After doing some crazy laps, he blow my turbo also, it's looked like he have had a to big hose for the oil from the engine to the turbo. Then I had a problem. There are now more parts to get hold of to this turbo. Then Jenspeed and Schanke together was looking into producing a new F1 turbo, using my broken one, and do some new things with it. And after 6 months the turbo was done. The only thing who is left from the old turbo is the cold house, the rest is new. So this turbo is possible to get hold of now. So the reason my turbo was used in the dyno, was that they hadden't produced any yet, but is soon finished.
The exhaust house was 135, was used because when braking the WRC-blue 770hk cosworth, they started to get problem with the backpressure with 115 house. But when dynoing this engine the backpressure was a long way from negativ. So on the RS500 the turbo will be fitted with 115 house, which will start the engine 300-500rpm before.
The next engine who will be dynoed will be fitted with camshafts who have 1mm higher lift, and 115 exhausthouse. Something Jenspeed and Julian Godfrey talked about will give 800hp+ and 900nm+ in a street car. Looking forward to that.

Why? I was making a point...just cause we dislike each other dont mean i gonna say something that aint the truth imo

The point here is even though i'd like to think Mark is my mate,i wouldnt expect him to suddenly turn into an arse cause i dont go along with everything he does...unlike the majority...oh like you over me asking how the car57 crash happened Up until then everything was ok..then you and your homeboys took it as a major diss Which wasnt the point of my post as i was only asking what was on everyones minds Or did you just want an excuse to hate?...It is very common recently..everyone out to put me down

nope not a fraud at all.... the car achieved that speed with the aid of gas and imho cannot be compared to cars that have done so without it!

Dont get upset in the least Phil.
In my profession we all have degrees in maths etc but i realise that not all are born that bright so let me help you Phil.
195---196---197---198---199---200---201---202.
Their keep repeating that & you will soon get the hang of it.
201.8 IS faster than 194.7 now thats not difficult is it.

I admit off Nitrous Martins record is unbeatable, completely out of sight never to be challenged. Even with the 700bhp I will have on Race Fuel off Nitrous my MAD horses are so inferior that they will fail to beat 600 Reyland ones what a Bugger that is .

Is this Martin Schanke horsepower or REAL horse power? . I can remember when Martin was approached as a consultant for Harvey over building the 700bhp RS200 Evo engine for Davey Jones. They used the exact same turbo, cams and timing that Martin specced that was supposed to be for his old 750bhp rally-cross engine and when set up on the dyno, it couldn't get over 600bhp . When Martin was re-approached and queried over this, he admitted that the 750bhp was plucked out of thin air as a figure to sell the engines .

In the end, the correct turbo was sourced from the States (Indy car spec) and the cams / timing was specced for the car by Ahmed / Harvey and it finally made 704bhp on Elf turbo fuel. Just goes to show that you should never believe the "hype" .

Top speed is top speed however its achieved in my book.

If one person has a decent rear beam and the other doesnt then its not fair
If one person uses race fuel and the other one doesnt its not fair
If one person uses nitrous and the other doesnt then its not fair
If one person weighs 15 stone and the other 12 stone then its not fair

You could go on forver like that, far easier to just look at the numbers and see who is the highest, everyone has the option to use anything they want to when they get to brunters, so if you choose to not use race fuel or nitrous or decent suspension etc then thats your choice and you are just making it less likely you will be the quickest.

No, because apart from anything else, they ARE engine dyno'd as you can see in the 779bhp post.

Oh, and when you go in the cars they are in their own league, they quite often under quote rather than big themselves up in Norway so you think your getting in a 450bhp Cossie but it feels like a '550bhp' UK spec if you get me

Quick Reply: Ladies and Gentlemen...I bring you 779BHP (pics)
