Default ST24 boot spoiler - Escort GTi??

hi guys, have been thinking about picking up a mondeo ST24 hatchback spoiler to fit my GTi, and wondered if anyone else had already undertaken this task, and was it a pig of a job to do??i have looked all over the internet to see if anyone has done similar but am struggling to find any examples, from pictures the spoilers look very similar, but would imagine the ST one would be slightly wider and have a little more overhang over the rear wings??? any help would be mucho appreciato!!! cheers guys

the st would also be lower, so wouldnt fit the lines of the escort or wiper arm, nothing wrong with the std gti one tbh

sounds like a reason to pass that idea up then lol!!! dont mind the standard one, but somethings making me want a change, have had an Evo style one and an Escort STkit style one, but sold them on just from looking at them as you dont realise how ridiculous they would look until they are in your hands. granted with the right bodykit they could look mint, but im only after sublte touches and trying to use all standard ford parts, except for a clio 182 front splitter which i must say..... is going to be a bugger to seat nicely lol!!! thanks for the heads up mate. if anyone has any other opinions on what different spoiler will suit a GTi without making it look drastically aftermarket, im all ears lol!!!! (anyone fitted the spoiler from an escort, the thinner shaped one from around the k-m reg era??)

Never tried fitting one, but an audi A4 could make it look a bit different, if you could get a half decent fit. This is the one i mean ..

the way i see it the gti is a nice looking car already with the std kit on, alls its need is the correct wheels and a nice stance to make it stand out

simple is always better and always works in styling

i think these look good with just wheels and lowered,

hmm interesting, will have to keep the Audi option in mind, tho i agree with last post, car looks fine as standard, just cant help wondering how things could look sometimes, ive got 300mm springs and gas shocks to go on, last GTi i had was dropped 60mm and was totally unpractical around town,so thinking 30mm will be a sensible option, and should look nice with alloys, cant afford RS7'S or Superturismo's at present (would give my right arm for a set of either!), so have opted for a set of ST24 turbines on 215/45/16 tyres and a set of Ford logo mudflaps, that way the arches dont seem quite so unfilled lol, but also keeps a little bit of acceleration compared to 17's or 18's, and lets be honest, until the desired power gains are in place, The GTi needs all the help it can get lol!! will get photos up once things are in the process, though im not sure what to do about the wheels, think im going to get them coated white as think they suit the car pretty well. so apart from the Audi possibility, she's going to stay as Ford intended!! P.S IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A GOOD CONDITION AMAPARO BLUE FRONT BUMPER GOING FAIRLY CHEAP, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS THE BIT OF PLASTIC MISSING ABOVE MY NUMBERPLATE IS RUINING THE GOOD CONDITION OF THE REST OF THE CAR LOL!!! cheers
