i have a mk3 escort with opening rear windows which i plan to sell on but when i have taken them of the car they apear to be clear could this be right if so what model are they for they have got the numbers etched on if this helps

Could be. A guy at an old garage I used to use had a set on his old 3 door Escort Ghia. He said I could have them but I fell out with the garage owner so never got them

Got a nice bronze set now though

 

no idea but i have the green tint which match the other original s2 glass

 

I just changed my front glass to bronze tint as well

 

i just aint 100% sure what colour they are as now i am in the house with one it looks bronze

Put the glass on the carpet an put a piece of white paper under the glass if it looks brownish then it's bronze tint. If it appears greeny then it's a green tint and if it looks like a piece of white paper then it must be clear.

 

ok had a look with the paper behind it and i would say they are clear so next question are they worth anything

 

about a fiver.. I'll have them to take them off of your hands

i take it it the full kit, as you removed them from a car. stick them on ebay mate. worth an easy £50 of anyones money.

 

i been offered as much as 140 for mine , there are some out there with bits mising, i got all rubbers, hinges ect for mine

i keep saying im gonna sell em but then i can never be bothered to open the garage door and get em out

 

these also come with all the bits, hinges, rubbers, screws sufsRS you interested

yes they fit stright on, all you've got to do is trim the plastic rear pillar trim, but Ford nicely put the outline on the inside of it so just use that line

I've done the same as Steve and got some bronze front windows, mine were stratched to bits anyways. You might have to do what we've both done and put an extra washer on the screws on the hinge so they seal 100% when shut

 

The only extra thing tyou'll need is a rivnut gun to put a threaded insert into the B pillar. The holes are allready there though so it's a piece of piss

I got mine from a chap on here but I've totally forgotten who it was. Went to the Isle of Wight to collect them
