If you just want to lap the track, it's best staying right next to it somewhere cheap and cheerful. However, if your looking for a nice hotel, with good food, great atmosphere, on the Moselle river, and for a really good price, then send me a PM. The hotel is about 40 mins country drive to the 'ring, but would make a better base for a proper holiday - especially for people bringing the family or girlfriend.
