on older cars like ours it doesn't make any difference putting in "super" unless it's tuned/chipped to suit......newer cars can adjust themselves

thats correct, it will have to be mapped with more ignition advance, and something with a knock sensor will self adjust (some better than others!)

Really? 7psi is not really turbocharging, and cvh's can run unleaded no probs, all the heads have hardened valve seats

not sure what sped out is, on an old cvh at 7 psi boost i doubt you would notice the difference between parafin or 105 octane. But when its tuned a bit and making 20 psi of boost, of course you will need super unleaded
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

Even at 7psi I beleive you need the extra knock resistance of the higher octane fuel. That's the advice I was given years ago and it never got me in trouble. I do know a few people who ran on normal unleaded. A knob I used to work with always moaned how his Series 1 was crap as it kept "blowing up" in his words. He wouldn't pay for Super unleaded as it was more expensive. Obviously not as expensive as keep having the engine repaired
