I can see Plato's point to be honest.
From in car footage, you could see how easily the turbocharged cars were pulling away on the straights... it wasn't close at all, you can't defend against that for long.
What I love about BTCC is the fact that the cars are almost identical pace, meaning that it's really down to chassis set up and driver ability. This has provided brilliant racing in the past, which would be a shame to lose.
Cheers,
Grant

Fact of the matter is every team had the chance to develop and fit Turbo motors over the closed season. Just because that twat platos team chose not to is there problem. Plato was not moaning like a cunt when he had TDi power'd seats a few years back with a distinct advantage.

At the moment there is quite clearly a massive power advantage to the turbocharged cars with very little in the way of drawbacks. Needs sorting out majorly. We are in a transitional period until 2013 (could be brought forward to 2012 if all teams are ready and willing to run full NGTC spec cars) where performance parity had been promised and must be delivered to keep the racing fair, even and competitive.
It's nowhere near that at the minute.

There was a power advantage, but handling-wise the heavy diesel was way off the petrols. Over the different types of track, that evened itself out, and ultimately Plato fell foul of reliability issues with the diesel.

That's as maybe, but all the turbos have a MAJOR power advantage and can easily outdrag any of the NA cars in 99% of circumstances. Plato and the other 3 potential front-runners in NA cars need to be given a fair crack of the whip. Nothing more or less than that.

Agree with Grant, Plato is the only one with the bollocks to say anything against anyone. You can see how much quicker they are, in the last race, watch how quickly Neal caught (I think) Jordan? Well, it was a pirtek car. He closed the gap in no time! It's unfair, which is not what touring cars is about!
