Yeahl, saw that. Is cheap but all depends what it needs as you could end up spending the same as what you can buy a clean one for.

Are you sure about that? I'd rather spend 15k and get a tidy one

Depends how much of the work you can do yourself, or who you know that can do quality work cheaply.

I do agree on that if you can afford a 15K one in the first place you are better off just buying one though, but not everyone has 15K lieing around in one go, so if they can buy something for 6K, do a lot of the work on it themselves while they save up for the bits they need help with its could be an enjoyable project.
Lets face it, if you pull it apart and find its more than you are capable of, you could break it and still get your money back.

How much would a spray job cost?1000/1500/2000. Then say about 1000 for the welding and it works out to still be a cheap car.

Yes Glenn but don't forget, engine rebuild, big turbo, new management, big brakes, new suspension, new alloys, catch me drift?

If it is as rotten as it sounds, could be anywhere upto about 5K+ for all the bodywork and paint required if you dont have anyone who can do a cash job on the side and get it all done in one hit.
Then, like Jimmy says, you'll be wishing you just saved up and bought a "proper" one TBH

To the right person though, its a cheap way to own an escos
