Do it yourself James (save some money) - sod that from now!!
Spent about 5 hours stripping all the wiring out for the morettes and replacing it all with standard loom for standard headlights - never fooking again!!
1, it was cold so solder iron wouldn't work properly
2, the wiring is a complete biatch if ya never done it before you have to cut quite a way back 'cos someones bodged it before
3, find out after you've soldered it all in place that you actually have a mk5 headlight loom 'cos sidelights connections are not the same
4, it hurt my bum sitting on a stony floor for that long
Oh bloody hell, it was worth it because I now know whatever I do - I can't solder a damn thing
But, at the weekend when it gets stripped again for better and correct wiring, I might just pay someone else to do it properly for me
ce la vie hey peeps
Anyone else have this issue, have a go hero and end up spening 3 times the amount of time it would have taken a garage to do for about £20
