Air con compressor staying on
Hi i have a 03 Mondeo 2.0 tdci every time i start car up the air con compresser kicks in even if a/c is switched off. I have removed fuse to stop also engine rad fan comes on when you start up car. Has any one come across this before ???
Also i have just replaced all four injectors and had a problem coding them in. Had to code them in firing order before they would code in and knock off the check engine light ( glow plug heater light )

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I'm assuming it has an electromagnetic clutch?
In that case: sometimes when it isn't shimmed properly it can engage when hot and refuse to let go again lol
It should disengage when you remove the relay though, or remove the pressure sensor.
Last one is easier to acces most likely.

You probably know this but just in case, on my focus (I assume same on the mondeo), if you have the heater dial set to the windscreen only setting the a/c works even if switched off, in order to clear the screen quicker so you may have a problem with the dial and its registering as being on the screen setting all the time hence the compressor kicking in.
