its a bit thicker and so the engine dont loose as much oil

a mate of mine used it when he was told to use oil that was too thin and he done his valve stem steals in and that helped the smoking hes car used to do

i used it in me 1300 escort too as that started using alot of oil

no im sure its due to how it acts when up to temp, its not as reliable, but i also was under the impresion that the thicker oils are bad for the turbo , could be wrong, dont mind if i am either

but i do know it worked wonders on me mates 8v dhoc 2.0 sierra and my 1300 hcs escort too

I'm here, what's the question?

Model, year, engine etc. Any mods and type of use would help too!

Cheers
Simon

PS: Couldn't find a phonebox - Sorry for delay

My book says 10w-40 semi-synthetic (cost option) or 5w-40 fully synthetic (quality option).

It would break down quickly as it's a mineral oil.

i used to run GTX in my V6 all the time with no issues (regular 3k oil change) but when they switched to this newer stuff, it would break down very quickly i found. I cant remember if I had the oil cooler then or not mind. but i noticed a difference in longtivity between the old and new blend.
