clutch re-plating
A friend of mine is in the process of fitting a ZVH into his RS1600i,
The engine was seen running in a fiesta before he bought it but the clutch was slipping!
It's a 4 paddle plate, now after trying to source a suitable replacement he came accross a guy who recons clutchs and has said that he will re-plate the clutch and overhaul the pressure plate for £100.
I've all ways been put of having paddle clutchs recond, but wondered what you lot thought?
The engine is ment to be circa 250bhp?? what would be the best clutch for the job?
Cheers
Tony

My mates having his ap re-plated very soon, £20 a paddle. As soon as I can be bothered taking the gearbox out lol. Much cheaper than the £450 for a new clutch
