Default what suspension kit to go for

hi there guys, just after some opinions.
i currently have avo coilovers on my car, but at least one of the struts is shot and another definately on the way out.
i know i could send them back for a refurb but i'm not sure if this is the best option.
obviously its nice to have coilovers but to be honnest i dont know if i really need that level of adjustment.
it would be about £100 per strut to get the avo's refurbed, maybe more depending on the state of them, £500+ for a new set of coilovers or about £225 for a set of separate struts and springs at a fixed damping rate of about 20% stiffer than standard with a drop of about 35mm.
now i'm inclined to think thats plenty for what i need it for, the car is a daily drive, see's the drag strip about 8-10 times a year and only goes on the track once in a blue moon. so the sensible side of me thinks save the money for a more worth while mod but the tarty side of me wants nice spangley coilovers.
What you think guys?

To be honest mate I really don't rate coilovers for a car in daily use. And I have a daily driver on coilovers.

You haven't said what car you have though mate so it will be hard for people to give you educated suggestions.

I have to disagree there coilovers on a car that is not slammed into the weeds and setup right can give better comfort and handling than standard shocks and springs.

AVO coilovers are shyte, no arguments.

fit GAZ or Bilstein stuff and it will be much better.

spring rates are also critical.............

easyest option is billy or koni fast road shock with eibach spring setup

sorry for not saying what car, i just copied the post that i put on fiesta turbo with out thinking about the fact that it doesnt go with out saying on here. its a frst. regarding the comment about fitting GAZ or bilstein if money wasnt a concideration obviously i would fit the best thats on the market. but as its not a track monster and i'm not loaded i want to go for a relatively cheap option thats still going to provide decent performance. the car's not super slammed or super high power so thats why i was thinking that coilovers are just a bit unnessicary and maybe an uprated standard kit so to speak would be just as good an option?

Fiesta Turbo's work well with NEW stock dampers and a good quality -35mm lowering spring set.

If it's on a cossy unless you are a hardcore track day monster. I'd go for Koni top adjustables with bayjoo springs. A lot of people say this is the best fast road setup for a cossy

As posted earlier its for a Fiesta RST not a cossie. The car is a daily drive with occasional use on the track/strip.

The AVO's on there dont seem to be the best quality in the world with grub screw locking solid and dampers that seem to go wrong after not long.

What makes you think they are £100 a unit to repair, depends on what's wrong with them.
My rears were £70 a PAIR delivered back to me repaired, the fronts a pair were around £90.
Putting m/bike gaitors on the shocks makes them last so much longer.

if you're using coilovers, then spend the money - 1k min. If not, Koni's.

the £100 was just based on a quote a friend got for having his coilovers refurbed and as i said at least one of mine is fubar'd and one is getting there so they're going to be more than just a tart up.
