Fuel tank breathers???
When i go to fill up the tank on the Gartrac (all 15 quid of it!) you have to do it very slowly or the whole lot starts shooting back out and ruins the loafers Behind the rear quarter is a fuel tank breather set-up (if you can call it that) which looks like it started life on a Sierra cossie? Now what i need to know is....What exactly do i need if i replace that lot? Surely the breather pipe from the top of the tank to atmosphere and a small hole in the petrol cap is sufficient?? Also is this thing not functioning correctly the cause of the tidal wave of Optimax i have to try and avoid every time i fill up??? And could this also be the cause of fuel smells in my garage as there are no leaks!

They always a bitch like that anyway, mine does it sometimes.... but ive just stripped all mine apart and re assembled and yes, there is one pipe that goes to the atmosphere thats it, oh and the standard vented fuel cap, I assume it has a standard jobbie?
