right im attempting to do my ex manifold gaskets tomoro on the bus but heard its a bit of a pig to do, any tips on making it easier for myself

Just take it somewhere, would be my tip. EVERYTHING on the st24 is a PITA.

yeah its ticking an im starting to get quite a bellow comin from same general area, im pretty sure it is blown

Can you actually see it coming out? I only ask because if it's not actually leaking you wouldn't be the first person to go to all that trouble for it not to cure the noise.

When I broke my ST200 I took the manifold off to see if that's where my 'tick' was coming from. Even with the engine out it was a right pain to get them off.

i havnt looked that close but from the sound of it its def blowing from somewhere up there, seems to be from the rear bank

mine does it when its hot.. as above.. unless its REALLY broke on a V6 dont fix it
