Default Would tracking cause significant poor handling?

I changed the passenger side track rod end on my ST mondeo for its MOT this has put the steering slightly to the right in order to drive in a straight line, but no so much that it bothered me, what is bothering me, is how it seems to be very easy to steer to the right but when steering left it feels heavier and its as if its fighting against turning left (it wants to force itself back right) handles like a boat at lower speeds going round my estate turning left. Just wondered if the tracking would cause that (heavy steering one way light the other) before i waste give someone £30 for 5 minutes work ! lol

yes tracking can cause a massive difference to the steering mate my old escort had very heavy steering and the ability to go round roundabouts with zero input from the driver and also a loud thudding noise with every rotation of te wheels, i set tracking and all faults were cured

Tracking can cause poor handling and before you moan about the cost of it think of the tyres, with the tracking out you will wear the tyres out prematurely therefore costing you more in the long run!

Its been like it since January and tyres are fine, its only slightly off centre on the steering wheel, the only thing is both the front tyres keep going flat but i reckon they just need re sealing/new valves.. thanks
