Yeah i agree CHIP they dropped there car down a gear when i came along side them they wanted to race trying to show off to there passengers but came unstuck.. Im not trying to say my car faster at all than either of them just that some people buy cars that are too fast for them, as a fashion statement.. LAMBORGHINI is my favourite car id love one and id imagine the power of one is phenomenal, my 3door dont stand a chance against someone who can handle a lambo
There are plenty of reasons for not thrashing the shite out of your car at every opportunity other than just being scared to do so.

I think we should sponsor MO & MOHAMMED to enter totb this year they will clean up . Please remember these lads are youngsters.
Ive never met these two lads but im sure amongst their friends their cars are unbeatable & so they start to think they are Supercar beaters. Entrance in an event like Vmax or totb would be a massive reality check for them but hey!! that would reveal just how slow they were. Much better to claim 'road kills' although maybe they should just tell their young mates who will lap it up.

ok my bad it was a bit of a generalisation but it would explain a certain ammount of immaturity from the op on this thread and previous ones, i mysely am only 28 but have somewhat grown up since i was 20, i had my first rst at 18 an i never went about claiming supercar kills im just saying that some younger people might generally believe they are faster as life has yet to teach them that they aint

just watched some youtube clips vith gallardos doing the 1/4 mile around mid to high 11s. So there are really some cars on the street that can match tose times.
I read a few days ago about a FWD Fiesta in this forum that managed that time. So Lambos could be beaten by a Ford

Some of these comments make me laugh.Anyone ever thought that Mo rs is pulling your chain just for the fun of it?

That lambo rep's from Hull, used to go past my old work place to a garage near there.
Seen a 360 rep going about as well.
Edited: It's the company that builds the reps near where I worked.

Is that worked out by flywheel power or wheel power?
If flywheel you missing out the bit where alot of that power is wasted in transmision losses.
My best mates evo6 makes 410bhp at the fly but only 317bhp at the wheels (dyno dynamics @ TRL) Thats a 93bhp loss! Would be far less %age difference for a FWD car.
It's from wheel figures to weight ratio that makes the difference, not flywheel.

A fwd car has to "drag" the rear wheels, which would give some kind of transmission loss. So the losses IMO on a 4wd aren't a deal greater.
i've just been out for the evening with the guy who works at hr owen, surprisingly, we've known each other for YEARS but i never twigged he was the same guy until we were discussing a certain mutual friend
anyway, he drives lambos and ferrari's and maserattis and nearly veyrons for a living and, i've got to say, in his 6 years of driving fast cars fast, he says nothing has ever come close to troubling him when he's in one of the italian motors
i'm pretty sure we could line up a big power lambo and see what it's like in the real world and then we'd all forget about making our cars go faster and just save up and buy a fast car in the first place

But where you usually "streetrace" i.e. 50-100/whatever theres no getting away from the physic's, power to weight is everything, when aerodynamics are neglicable at 0.25-0.5G acceleration.

Actually, a modified car will always have a better chance, (usually because the modified car has one aim, going fast) Look at rod's. We ran many fwd's that do 60-100 in less than 4 seconds, the same/quicker than the fastest lambo. Without sounding like the person who posted this thread in the real world most supercar's are too heavy and slow midrange. Theres no disputing the fact there good off the line (due to 4wd/better traction) and VERY good at top speed, (flat floors, better aero's etc).
