just been on the askMID site, it's where to check if you have car insurance, handy if you take out day insurance when buying a car, anyway i checked that it wasnt insured now, and its not, but they did have a piece about unless your car is sorned it must be insured 24/7 as of 2011, bar stewards my latest purchase has tax until the end of may, but it needs a bit of work, i was hoping it would be gone by then, hopefully easier too sell with tax, now it looks like i'll have to sorn it, get a month's tax back, and then try and flog it with no RFL, i dont see the point in this, i cant afford to insure 2 cars, bar stewards

 

Comes into effect in June 2011 according to askMID,but Directgov say early 2011.
