Default Ford Focus Remote Locking Lights

Hi all, just bought a 2002 ford focus estate and the central locking works great, but the lights don't always flash. once in about 10 times. any ideas?

I'm new to all this, my last car was a basic escort.

don't forget it will only flash when pressing the lock button twice which activates the deadlocks.

ahh yes your right!! i thought they just flashed when you locked and unlocked them. probably just a manufacter thing. my dads golf does.

all and all. I'm pretty happy with this car so far (considering im an escort freek). picked it up for £1000, but it has done 130000 miles. somtimes when you kick it up it sounds a bit rattely. i'm sure i'll make some other posts soon just to get some advice.
