Default Scrapping a CAT

Nope, i'm planning on recreating the scene where that made old bint put tiddles in the bin, i was wondering how much a catalytic converter is worth these days? Im breaking a Mk5 XR3i and was going to take the CAT off and sell it, but how much are they worth and where could i do this, a normal scrapyard?

Anyone done this, how did you go about it and how much for?

Thanks in advance

Depends on condition.

I deal in scrap (sideline) Anything from £15 - £70

If its reasonable condition then sell it instead of scrapping it!!

It went though an MOT in Jan and hasn't been used since so it should be spot on really.

I could sell it, but i thought it might actually be more profitable (and easier) to just sell it for scrap?

Want it??

I cash them in at the local waste recycling depot - get around £25-50 depending on condition

Yoda, is that you?

Depends if its original or aftermarket and what condition really, aftermarket cats have a little less platinum in them. I'd say between £30-70.
