The missus X5 window wipers have sorta reset where there start and stop, they are constantly pointing up but they work fine, if you want to wash the windows they was and start and stop at the same positions. Just seems to be the start and stop position has moved to the vertical position>?

Any ideas before i send it to BMW.

 

thats a new one mate might just need re initialised ! as in learned where the park is again if not might need a motor

 

yeah thought it was different! it works perfect just in the wrong position. dunno

 

Could it just have slipped on the splines of the motor?

 

Dunno, she said it happened the other week when it was heavy snow, you think the weight could have been too much and possibly slipped round?

 

Sounds quite likely! Similar thing happened to my wife's old fiesta in the snow a few years back although it was one of the wiper arms got stuck.

See if you can get to the motor, undo the securing nut, pull the arm off and put it back where it is supposed to be.

 

Going to get a code reader on it first just incase but thats the next step. Cheers guys.
