In the ebay listing below the seller refers to the car as a non custom model. Was there ever such a car in the XR3i range? I know there was with the Series 1 RS Turbos but wasn't aware of custom/non custom in the 3i model.

Nope,another clueless owner talking shite,I believe prarie yellow is the rarest colour as well.Looks a tidy enough car though?
I believe some series 2`s carried the custom tag as well,but not 3i`s?

Caught my eye for the wrong reasons. You can't call it an RS1600i even though the seller has tried to make it look like one and although it's an XR3i it doesn't look like one. To be honest i would rather whoever did the work on it used there energy on making it a really tidy standard XR3i.

 

pretty sure years ago when I use to read the for sale add you could get a cutom pack on the MK3 XR3i,saw a lot advetised as with custom packs

 

Not saying you're wrong mate (that's why i posted the original thread), but i must admit it's a new one on me. When i was looking for mine back in the early days when they were all the rage i don't recall seeing it mentioned it any ads i looked at. There were a few differences on series 1 RSTs which made some custom and others non custom but not convinced on the 3i's.
