if youve got a house alarm already then the best option is to extend that into your garage on a seperate zone that is armed/disarmed seperately from the main in house zones. That way your car is still protected while your in or asleep when your alarm may not be fully set in the house.

its a a bit far away and concrete has been poured around the garage so cant run any new cables. Got a supply there so was just going to do a new install

Someone came round the other week who does alarms and his was for garages where if someone gets in it wont make a sound but call 3 numbers till you shut it off. That costed £130 i think and £10 a year for the line rental thing.
