Default How much in paypal fees for a £2450 sale??

A stupid bint has won the beetle I had for sale on ebay and is trying to pay by pay pal - I said no way! I even had in my add £100 deposit 24 hrs after auction end and rest on pick up.
She is chinese, I dont know if its a scam or has the money in an account back home but will only pay by paypal!.
She is real and has been round to view it, so Its not the guy from fonejacker trying to give me monies.

What sort of crazy money would paypal want for that.

I have looked on paypal but cant understand there system.

Thanks lads

on expensive items i state i will only take paypal via gift method, that basicly means no comebacks etc possible and they cannot dispute, theres also no paypal fees, just tell them the above reason being possible scammers, if they are genuine they wont have a problem especially as they have already viewed, they prob just want to pay via credit card

Thanks Guys!!
She is arguing the toss that she will only pay by paypal - I told her just get to the bank.
I also told her that I would take paypal - but she would be paying the fees - ahh that not my problem, was her answer, I said its not mine either!

I've tried a gift before, but got charged by paypal, I think they have cottened on to that one.

Yeah I was unsure of the percentages after a certain amount.

I just want it sold so was going to sugest going halfs on the fees

So its £71?

I'd tell her cash or nothing, garunteed they'll pay, take the car, then open a paypal dispute and get her cash back, not worth the risk IMO

Paypal can charge back weeks after the event..!
Personally I would cancel the sale and start again, block her from bidding.
I have actually had to do this myself.

I agree with this. She could open a dispute and get her money back of paypal.

• Rule number one, don't accept Paypl payments.
• Rule number two, if you must ignore rule number one NEVER accept cash as a gift - You will NEVER see your money again!

I forgot to take the pay pal option off once when i sold a car and before i know it they had paid £1850 cost me £50 i think they were round next day took it no worries. i thought at least they cant back out. I dont think you could reverse and despute in those days though. Does sound a bit dodgey though!!!!!!!!!!
