Whats the difference between the two?

Im thinking about buying one, either that or the ST170 Focus.

Which would yous recommend from the two and would you have the mondy or the focus?

I have a Focus ST170 now and before that had the ST200 Mondy, neither will win any drag races these days and the Focus uses just as much fuel if pressing on. When it comes to dynamics though the shorter wheelbased focus wins hands down. The ST200 had more of a sense of occaision though and sounded the nuts on full chat
The ST200 needs a brake conversion if on a standard factory fit set up, they are awful and fade quickly, the focus has better standard anchors. Never had any issues with the Mondy apart from replacing the clutch and droplinks, air con condenser needed replacing too but other than that it gobbled up the mileage no worries.
Plenty about these days, both great cars in their own right.

ST24 has 167bhp and the 200 has 202.

diffrent air box
diffrent upper and lower inlet manifolds
larger throttle body
diffrent pistons
diffrent cams


The real world diffrence between the two is that the ST200 is a much better car, might only be slightly quicker than the 24 but pulls a lot better.

Just to add if you can stretch to the rarer saloon go for it, they look the nuts.
