im fitting a rs2000 in a mk3 escort.

but im struggling on the top mount atm.

im using the bc box, and dont want to chop car about top much.

however i cant get a straight answer on the top mount!!

ive been told the mk4 mount bolt to engine and will bolt up to a mk4 mounting point (it dont ive tried) however i can get one bolt on and it is possible to bolt up, but engine is about 3" to low that side due to mount being huge.

the mk3 mount braket hits oil pump

the mounting brakets will not bolt on, only 1 hole will line up.

the rs2000 mount wont work as its attached to side of engine and hits the inner wing so wont fit.

the mk6 mount which is connected to back of engine is way to big!!

the mk6 mounting point will not weld onto the mk3 without major modification.

basically i need to talk to a few people who have already done this conversion to help me out a little bit, i dont mind modifing mounts but idealy want the car kept factory look and not to chop lumps out unless i really need to.

the mk3 now has a mk4 mounting point temp fitted as its higher up the inner wing to get some more clearence., but i can stick the mk3 one back on if needed.

i no this has been done loads of times, but no-one has any pics of mounts and its hard enough finding someone whos done it

i've just started the same conversion so would be good to share info?

That mount i wasusing is the mk3 mount and modifying it to bolt on to the 2 holes on the rear of the block and to the 3 holes on the end of the block.

is your bc box a straight fit with a mk4 flywheel?

i wanted to keep the mtx75 box but trying to line it all up is a nightmare for a beginner.
