Lock to Lock

Simple question How many turns Lock to Lock does an Escort RS turbo MK4 1988 have ?

4.4 if it follows the normal ford practice of non power racks and 2.8 if it's got a power rack

Hmmm interesting, that what my local motor factors said, (4.4) when i questioned them. I thought they were all the same But I believe the RS turbo/ XR3I to have a Lock of 3.7 turns.
Has any one come across this problem, I doubt fitting a rack that has a lock of 4.4 turns is going to work to well?

ford also did a rack limiter, which limited the amount of turns by simply limting the amount of lock available

might be the case you were thinking of?
