i used to work for a citroen main dealer (citroen and peugeot same company same cars) and i wouldnt touch them with a bargepole, they are extremley unreliable
i would get a lupo, polo or golf diesel, yes they are more exspensive to buy but the peugeot will cost more in the long run in repairs

the focus and peugeot share similar engines apart from the 1.8 tho the 1.8 is a slug of an engine and not a patch on the vw's the focus is still using a slightly updated version of the engine that was in a 92 escort van they wernt good in 1992 never mind now!

as said they are shite, lots of problems and just feel really cheap, i would even go as far as to say that pug cars (and citroen) are worst on the market atm, have a look at vw/seat/skoda 1.4 tdis

Was just talking about 207's today with my mate. He is a Peugeot technician and has the 150bhp 207 GT. He's getting rid of it but he said it was a great car over the 3 years. All it's cost him apart from fuel, road tax etc in the 3 years is £40 for a 20k service.
