Default Will Pedley Racing

I normally think big ups are normally pretty lame when you have paid someone for a simple job. But I do feel the need to give a very huge and genuine big up to…….. Big Will ya’ll,,,,,, (it’s for the look, I don’t light it)

Basically my Mk1 sheared a pulley nicely off and it did the head. The car was a in need of a good check over and refresh to make sure it was kept tip top. I entlisted Will Pedley to sort it. Two reasons, he usually enducates me on something every time we meet, and mainly because I know he knows superchargers and how to care for a bit of a one off car.

The engine bay is foooookin’ tight, so everything is a mission, even for my slender digits, must have been a nightmare with claws like baseball mitts!

Will worked on the car in the background to his main customer projects and a few personal set backs, like fuckin’ his knee up royally. I didn’t need or want the car anyway, I was happy with the storage and all the hassel out of my hair, it gave him chance to go through and sort it. Win!

Fresh engine, gaskets, tyres, map check, CV’s found worn and replaced, pedal box and mastercylinder tweaks, rebuilt box with Tran-x LSD, flywheel skim , replace clutch and a ton of things I no doubt missed.
Oh, and the natural addition of some “powered by fairdust stickers”….cock!

My car being my car, every job was a ballache, nothing is ever as simple as it should be on any of my cars, ever!
Even getting the car over to the MOT was a no go due to the clutch shitting its pants

Ricky Youll and Will sorted the MOT at Wheelton Car Repairs

I have been almost pissing my pants with excitement about getting it back, and I went up over weekend to collect and see a new cam cover he put on…snazzy! I spent most of my time at WPR base doing a funky two step dance, generally touching up myself and the Mk1 makin' "cum" noises over my motor, as Willis looked slightly bemused with my excited state No handshakes on collection day, it was hug time!

Just had to a public big up, because after a fair few hundred miles and some cheeky motoring misdemeanors it is still utterly tip top. It feels stupid, I love it!

It makes me grin to look at, smile to just sit in and howl like a naughty boy when I’m dickin’ about in it. It’s the tits! Cheers Will!

The man himself checking things over .....that reminds me, i must dig my SNES out and play Mario Kart....dibs on being Bowzer!

Not many I would have let loose on it to begin car to begin with, and the way he dealt with it all genuinely impressed me. So the skinned knuckles and time spent contemplating a new life on the M55 was worth it mate, it’s fuckin’ raw!! x

Aye, that's what everyone says. It is a handful. Will said there was a bunch of people who he knew what he had in and were beggin' him for passenger rides, but he said no

Jessie- Nowt, TOTD did a seriously mint job! They turned it around in no time and it was properly built. I kicked the absolute dick out of it I mean, i REALLY tried to break the car too and it took 14,000+ miles, totally trouble free before a Pulley failed and i just rang Will as i had been discussing high comp, big rev, supercharge options with him just before it happened. Sent it on trailer, job jobbed

Will, do you find the phormula headphones arent quite as nice to use as the knockbox ones that stu sells?

I really really like the phormula kit but normally use my knockbox headphones instead as they just cut out the background noise better.

Cracking work as always by the sounds of it

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Neil, I could tell you were genuinely excited to get back into the car lol. I'm glad it's back to form and you're supercar baiting is resumed!

Chip - Yes, phormula headphones aren't as good as knockbox but the display is a godsend in very noisy cars!

Yeah the display is cool, and so is the 0-5v output, I use it on my nova as an input to the autronic, and it datalogs knock then, but I just use the knockbox headphones instead.
The autronic logging is really good actually, as when you view it you can click anywhere on the graphs and it takes you to the cell that you were in at that point in time, so you can see a high point on the knock log, and click it and it takes you straight to where you were when it happened

As above well done Will, really came through (as usual). I know it's a tricky car to work on to.

I've been one of the (un)lucky few to experience this car in the last few days and forgot how stupid it is; really is truly BRUTAL. Even compared to other higher power FWD cars I've been in or driven.

Love it, proper toy and it's brilliant scaring the crap out of people at bus stops ont he way to work when it hits the hardcut limiter

Its the law!

A friend took mine out last year and his actions led to an old boy who was walking down the road drop his two bags of shopping in shock!

Massivewangers- I should charge, it drinks hard when on full chat!

Tim- Better....still building trust in them, but much much better.

Power is around 260bhp i would guess. It has done 284bhp at TOTD before, but Toddy detuned it a bit to stabilse temps as it was getting a touch warm and if IIRC he said "I know what you're like, you'll only go and kill yourself in it" haha.

Taking it to Jamsport on Friday. Go see my FRST, fit some funky adjustable tubular arms to the front and get it on the rollers. But it is plenty quick enough for me, it just feels naughty and i honestly hardly ever need full throttle (unless i wanna shit up some tourists in Bath)...a couple of mm throttle is the difference between, cruise and fast, couple mm more and you have a rolling burnout lol

AJC- Yeah mate, it's a tidy shell, super low miles and been really looked after. Zero rust or welding anywhere underneath, fookin' rare on these tin boxes!

lol Fudgey, he is had pretty much everything and anything cause him agro last year, but he is a top fella no doubts...almost too helpful for his own good at times, like a big friendly all-tuning knowing teddy bear :-D

Fuck no Tony haha...wouldn't ruin the lines. It's pure road only this one.

FRST is having a serious areopack on it though, spoiler, splitter, diffuser, undertray. Everything...will make it stand out and "fingers crossed" if i do the maths right, should make it go faster. Well, that is the plan
