Default 2 different injectors on a tdci mondeo??

Hi my head is wrecked at the moment,I stupidly bought 4 "reconditioned injectors" for my tdci Mondeo on ebay,When i received them i couldn't read
the codes on the the back of them as the stickers are slightly worn
so i sent them to a company in Tipperary for testing which should give me
a new code, only problem now is that the company told me that they have a slightly different nozzle or tip then my original ones, does anyone know if they can be used in my Car? its a 02 2.0 130 bhp tdci and they came out of a 05 2.0 130 bhp tdci,my local ford garage told me before i bought them that as long as they are the same power engine they will work
Can anyone help please?

ya he emailed me the codes but they were not the 16 digit codes needed for recoding and the engine they came out of has been scrapped! so far no luck with him
also the add stated no refunds,my only hope is that if knew they would fit then i can pay the company to test and get new codes for them

good point lad i Suppose its the best option if they are the wrong ones
Its such a pity that the mondeos seem to be so flawed with injectors pumps and flywheels fuckin up,cause it is a sweet drive when its goin right,I got a price from ford of 380 plus VAT per injector before fitting and coding!!
it seems crazy

Did somebody call?

If you have actually bought recon injectors then they should come with new codes. If you haven't got any codes, chances are they aren't reconed, just second hand! If that's the case you need to email the seller and ask either for the codes, or your money back. Dispute the case throught ebay/Paypal if they don't play ball.

If you get no where with the seller you'll need to have your 'new' injectors put on a Delphi test rig to check that they're ok, and to generate new codes.

Don't go to Ford! Go to a Delphi dealer, they charge less, and chances are the Ford dealer will actually sub out the work to Delphi, and add their cost on top. The price Ford quoted you for injectors is more than twice what Delphi charge!

Don't go to a non-Delphi diesel specialist as they won't have the ability to test the injectors properly, despite what they may tell you.

Sadly there is no 'cheap fix' when it comes to injectors - and trying to do it on the cheap will likely make things a lot more expensive in the long run! Best of luck, and I hope you get it sorted.

Your dead Right Dan!! turns out the injectors were never reconditioned and they didn't even pass the bench test so i dont have a code for them meaning i cant do anything so they are completely useless ,the company that tested them also told me they wouldnt work in my car anyway as they have a different length nozzle and part number ejdr00501z and my original ones are ejbr00301z,
On the plus side i found a proper Delphi specialist that say they can re-con my original injectors for 150 each plus VAT but will guarantee them.
anyway i will let you all know how i get on with them
