so if i get a sierra xr4x4 i can lift the subs struts discs etc and they'll bolt up? also on the engine side someone said theres a leaded version or something? should i watch out for a particular version escos engines dont come up that often!

and if i get a 2wd engine I'll need a 4x4 sump? what about front/rear diffs?

They bolt up but hubs and shafts are not the same. All Cosworth YBs can run unleaded fuel.

without this sound really bad, with limited knowledge you seem to have ( only going by this thread) is it wise you carry out this work?

or at least do a lot of research (i.e, search) for all the info needed before carrying out the work

buy the escos with escort gti id off pistonheads for Ł7.5k, will have all you need I would think in one hit, then sell that shell off to someone who wants to make a track car.

glad you didnt take offence to it,

as above some parts will fit, but you would be better getting a smashed up saff cossie and transplanting all the parts over makes it easier

Well get the complete Escos for 7.5K, probably less with a decent bid, strip it of all the parts you need, then sell the remaining shell for a couple of grand, should come in under budget then!

Right guys, for storage reasons I need to get this car running/rolling ASAP I've been told I can literally lift in an entire xr4x4 including the engine (either 2.9 shit brick or the 2.0 dohc) is this true?

I need it rolling so I can park it up otherwise I've got to pay a fair bit on storage
