Alloy wheels, offsets......
About to buy a set of alloys for my Audi which is 5x112 offset but the wheels I want are only available in a 5x114? Somebody else with the same car has bought them has used collared wheel bolts to counteract the extra mm in the offset, is this feasible to do or is it a proper botch job? I've never heard of this before?
Cheers

Wobble bolts I was reffered to them as when I looked at the Kei Force 10's for my A4.
Whether or not they are an acceptable way of getting round it I can't be certain but I considered it shady enough to steer clear and fitted RS6 reps instead.

Indeed they are known as 'wobbly' bolts. It's not as the name suggests though; they are simply a collar that allows the bolt to move. Very common for Fiat owners due to the rare 4x98PCD they use.
Some will swear they are a bodge (generally those who have never had experience with them), and there are many that have used them for years with no problems/vibrations or anything else. Major wheel suppliers such as Elite in Rainham regularly sell and fit them to high end cars with no problems.
