I've got a Karcher pressure washer that comes with a plastic bottle to add soap n' stuff to.

Would it work just as well with 'snow foam'?

And is the foam really that good at cleaning the car?

tbh i think the detergent bottle bit is different, this one replaces the lance bit and looks simillar to some of the pics earlier, i saw a link on ebay ,

mind you this one looksa better idea as its adjustable, with a bigger bottle

No it wouldnt work as well with snowfoam, it wouldnt mix right, even on the proper foam lance if you dont get the settings right it doesnt work well.

Its only 50 quid for a lance to fit the karcher including a litre of snow foam free from elite car care (thats what the mrs has)

It does work well, because it sits on the car for quite a while it soaks in better, youcan see quite a lot of dirty in the foam when it does eventually come off.

Plus it looks pretty, which is why most of the detailing bummers have it, so they can take gay pictures of their cars covered in it like so:

It's worth paying for a proper heavy duty foam lance.

They're £44.99 from cleanyourcar.co.uk at the moment, so a fiver off the RRP. You choose which fitting it comes equipped with, so obviously Karcher fitting to suit a Karcher or if you have a Nilfisk like me, it's Kew/Alto fitting (all part of the same group).

Meguiar's Hyper Wash is the best shampoo to use for snow foam, although depending on what you want from it, you could mix it with a more "bling" shampoo too.

It works great as a pre-wash to loosen off all the muck, or depending on what you use and how you do it, and if you're not that anal, it could be used as the wash itself.

I,m into my detailing but to be fair , unless you keeep on top of your car regulary and use hot water through it , it can be a bit gimmicky. However its main purpose is to free loose contaimanants and to soften the dirt up prior to hand washing. Everyone loves a bit of snowfoam IME

Done mine the other week and posted the results up on a different Forum so just copying and pasting:

After not washing the Mundaneo since November, I didn't really want to scratch the hell out of it with a lambs wool mitt getting the crud off as it was so manky. So I ordered a snow foam lance and some magifoam:

(There's foam still on the road from the day before when we did my girlfriends >Millennium Puma<)

General Mank before:

Foamed:

After 30 minutes:

Quick rinse off:

Not bad seeing as I didn't have to actually touch it!

Thoroughly recommend Magifoam as a pre-wash as it got 95% of the crud off : http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/ma...ing-2725-p.asp
