I had told Trevor that I was going for VAG Violet touch, final answer.... BUT I started having doubts so I asked him to let me know when he's ready to mix paint and I would confirm then, well times up at 9am tomorrow and I'm still flipping from one to another..
What's everyones thoughts on this...

it only looks good on that beemer because it's not the firenza mate
get a few pics up and then get peeps to do photoshops of certain colorus to see if they will suit it or not would probably be the best way to go about it
i know it's your car and ultimatly you will end up looking out the window at it, so probably best not to paint it like a turd

nope...that era of car looks best suited in purple...everything was purple in the late 60/early seventies....my dad used to re-fit night clubs and nearly everyone he did was purple back then
....i can see where your going with the bronze/brown colour, cause that shade was also rife in the 70's and early 80's

yep, when its on a current car,BMW have tried to put various 70's shades on a few minis's recently, for obvious reasons!....doesn't mean the colour is gash, just it was put on the wrong car....i think that bronze would look great on a wide arched mk1 escort, just not your firenza martin

just looking back at some replies, when people say this is a new colour, they(luckily) wern't around in the 70's....as you say,Ford had a very close shade of the on cortina's ans some escorts....BMW have just used and tweaked many a shade from the 70's in the last 5-7 years....everything comes full circle!
