ok does anyone know anything about theses

we have one that the pc base unit was stolen from (by an employee) but i got another unit

i need to know

1) does it connect to standard rs232 ports or are they special ports ?? (i.e. wired differently)

2) where i can get cheap/free software to test this before i get a specialist in to calibrate it

Might be worth pm'ing "the orginal" aka scrote on here, as he services these for a living, or ask foreignRS(brother) if he can ask him for you, he's a good chap as well.

plus if its not going in a mot centre you wanna see if you can get it unlocked so it doesn't need re calibrating every 6 months

no its not going in mot station mate just for use by us really only to use as a guide etc but will see what is said etc
