Default Electronic park brake

Hows does it look on an Mk4 Mondy? We need new rear pads on our one and we don't know if it has EPB or a normal brake. It has a normal handbrake lever, and the calipers look pretty normal, but the car does have hill launch assist. Anything newer than a Sierra and I'm lost

epb has a button that is pressed to operate the handbrake.if you have a regular lever then your car doesnt have electronic parking brake

If it's electronic and anything like the Renaults you have to get the dealer to electronically wind back the brake caliper. I couldn't believe it when I was told!

our transits have it as well, but not sure how they work, but apparently yes it's a main stealer job to change the pads

The hla is operated thru the abs system, all transit pads can be done by any garage no more to them than a standard handbrake caliper. You will need a brake piston wind back tool to do the mondeo brakes.
