what to look for in a Scorpio Cosworth

Might be going to look at a Scorpio Cosworth over the weekend - curiosity is getting the better of me. I'm not expecting much for a couple of hundred quid (has no tax or test, been sat on the drive for a year) but would still like to know what to keep an eye out for.
Are there many differences between the Granny BOA Cossie engines and the Scorpio BOB ones? Am assuming it'll be an auto which will be new to me, any obvious checks on whether it's in useable condition or not? I'm expecting to find rust but any particular areas that mean it's a scrapper?
If it does turn out to be a scrapper what sort of prices do they break for? I'm guessing the engines are fairly desirable, is the suspension and drivetrain useable for kit cars? Leather trim and electric goodies have to be worth a couple of quid surely?
Any advice or pointers would be appreciated. Like I said, not expecting much for a couple of hundred quid but if it's half decent it could be lot of car for the money and possibly my new runaround.
PS yes I know they are butt ugly

Had one a good few years ago and loved it as a run around.Only rust issue i had was the rear arches. If engine is ok and auto box shifts ok i think you on to a winner.Worst case is you break it for parts and engine and box must be worth double what he wants for it. Think they were over 30 grand when new so its a lot of car for £200

drive it
the gears should change nice and easy and on a pootle you should see it dropping into 4th at around 45 mph
make sure the abs works
they have a differentg front and rear suspension set up so it's not the usual sierra/granada stuff under there and make sure the electrics work
if it's got traction control it won't have an lsd
there are lots of lights on the dash, make sure they are all out when oyu are driving along
check to see if the cruise is working, it seldom does on these now but worth checking anyway
brakes are the same size as those of a 4wd cossie so they should stop it well enough
if it's been sat for a while the rear handbrake may be seized on
has it got cloth or leather? they came in a number of specs and you got the 24V in ghia and ultima spec so there are variations
dip the oil cold before you start it up and when it's up to temps dip the auto box
the bob makes 208 brake and the boa makes 195 brake but you've got to make sure the secondaries open up on the manifold when you floor it as this can either be a vac pipe missing or something to do with the electrics
other than that, they are nice comfy barges to smoke about in

Cheers for all the thoughts and feelings so far guys. Even if the bodyshell is a scrapper I'm still fairly optimistic about the whole thing.
Have read about checking the fluid in the auto box - how easily accessible is this dipstick? I'm guessing I'll need to try and crawl under the car but whereabouts is the 'box dipstick located? nearside/offside/top?
I'm expecting most things to be not working but I could be pleasantly suprised - getting it through an MoT could be a different case but I'll have to assess that if/when I go and see it.
Have just heard the guy has 'A Mondeo Ghia-X V6 manual' going for the same price as well - could turn into 2 cars bought if the Mondeo back end hasn't rusted away as well!

checking the auto box fluid
start the car
let it warm up a bit
move the stick through the gears to get the fluid everywhere it should get to
put it back into park
next to the brake servo, there will be another dip stick (it may be on the battery side but on the granadas it was that side)
pull the dip stick with the engine running
check the level AND the colour and texture of the fluid
it should be clear and red not horrible and brown and smelling burnt
