yes mate doesnt get started that often, but i used it for work the other day it was lazt starting then on way to work i stopped at shop then didnt think it was going to start turning over really slow had to rev it and it went same after work! one thing after another!!!!
its never gets used much ussualy flat so i have to charge the battery then its fine but its never done this ill have to check cheers, so its not worth trying to get a starter?
If it's ok after charging then the starters ok, as said need to establish battery voltage when having issues.
Any DC motor, like the starter will be very sensitive to battery voltage.
tabetha
Basically a fully charged battery should be 12V+, when the car is running you want to be seeing 13V+ with no load, this is to overcome the internal resistance of the battery.
Multimeters comes in many varietys, the more sophisticated obviously=more expense, but for a basic one expect to pay around £5-£10
As said if it's turning over slowly it's going to be down to the battery.
Just thought i,d mention mine was turning over slowly for while until it actually died completely i thought the batt had finally given up , this was all rectified by me wiggling the solenoid wire only
Very sensative it seems
