can any one help there was a smell of burning oil coming from my van so popped the bonnet there was oil over the bottom of intercooler and bottom hose and a rim of oil round the top checked hoses there not split would it be the intercooler knackered or what the fault thanks

sounds like turbo seals on the way out, there should be very little oil in the intercooler, some is to be expected due to the breather system on unmodified cars piping it back into the inlet track, but an excessive amount enough to cause seepage points to a knackered turbo mate

Yup could be turbo, have you looked inside the cooler see if it is full of oil?

Hope it's not the turbo the van only done 40k

got the pipe off today and there was a lot of oil in pipe dripping so will that be the turbo oil seals
