Default What is this caliper from?

I bought this expecting it to be from a Focus ST225, but it looks different to the other ST225 calipers I've since seen. I then assumed it was from an ST170, but it came off a 5-stud hub?

It's meant to be from a 55 plate Focus ST

I think it's just a regular non-ST Focus Mk2 caliper. I've been had! EBay strikes again.

deffo looks like you have bent over and took one for the team!!

the focus st ones are huge with a thick bar across the front in the same position as the thin metal wire you get on most other ford calipers to stop the caliper pulling off the disk.
The actual caliper looks like a mk2 mondeo one!

It turns out it's from a regular boggo Mk2 Focus. The breaker's being fine about it, and will give me a full refund.

Anyone know where there's an ST carrier going spare! I don't even need the caliper, just one carrier! They're well over a ton from Ford, and I though I'd had a touch for finding this for £30.

Arse!

least thats good news then.
probably easier just going to ford for the bracket as finding one could be tricky, unless you can find a breaker thats been hit on the other sides wheel area damaging it.. then you can buy the good side on its own.

I know, it's just the cost that's putting me off. I've aquired some calipers for free, I can get very good deals on discs and pads, but one of the calipers is missing the carrier. If I go to Ford my cheap brake upgrade suddenly isn't so cheap any more!

without the bracket that you need, i don't think anyone will let go of a caliper carrier on it's own from the breakers mate

bite the bullet and buy a complete set up for the side you need and then flog the caliper on

OR

call up some of the peeps who deal with brake upgrades for the focus and see if anyone is getting rid of theirs
