I tried to get classic insurance on my Cortina but all I kept getting told is that if I use it every day which I did I couldn't have it? Could only get it if it was a second car with limited mileage!

Thats right, i think over the last few years most people with an RS has gone classic and of course they have clamped down on it to, only pretty much stage 2 cossie style mods etc

Best thing to do is contact Paul Bostrom at www.needtoinsure.co.uk 01623 720081 he will tell you straight what you can get, he's a Ford RS concours owning enthusiast so will sort you out.

Iv had it for 2 years averaging 25k a year.. I'm not sure they will allow that lol, iv taken it off the road for time being just too much money and I'm goin to walk everywhere I want to go and spend my pennies on a few tweaks, then get another car and try have the xr as a 2nd car on one policy if I can!
