This car is defo not a genuine RS and was built from an ST170 IIRC. Check out the RSOCBB for more info.

not seen it before, but as per other comments - it looks like a really good build with good spec. It'll always be hard to buy something you know isn't quite the original article though right?

Having said that I spend my time playing with a 2 Mk1 Escort's with hardly an original part in place - one doesn't even run a ford engine.. lol

The car does have some spec, however genuine cars can be had for the asking price and will ultimately hold more value in the future and be easier to sell on...

Don't see the point in spraying a replica a different shade of blue, another colour I can understand, but that just looks like a dodgy sprayed FRS to me.

Cheers,
Grant

I remember going to a rolling road day in about 2005 at LPS in Ipswich when Seth who originally built it turned up with it. It's a shade of Subaru WRX-type-thing blue. Has ST170 interior loom which allows it to run proper climate control and other ST extra's over the RS like HFS. IIRC was built from a new or other RS shell using mostly new parts. I remember on the day it didn't make good power as the Bluefin was massively overfueling. Seth was a top bloke, very unassuming type of guy. Very nice car TBH back then when it had only donew limited miles. Got some pics of it back them, will try to dig them out.

Plate comes back as an RS, I thought it was one of the first salvage FRS's to come through that got rebuilt with a genuine RS shell but with a few extra's.

Looks tidy enough car and o...k on its own painted in the WR Blue, but next to a genuine one the colour looks pretty gash IMO. But, I've always been a massive fan of Imperial Blue.

Im the opposite, had my FRS nearly six years and only just getting used to the colour, love the car from the drivers seat but never been keen on the colour! Think Seth's looks much better in the lighter shade.

I seem to remember it had been reshelled with a new FRS shell but could be wrong. IIRC apart from the rear quarters the easiest way to tell is the front strut tops are different on an RS to any other FRS, not sure how they differ tho.

If you look at the strut tops on the Rs there is like a ring around the top of it if that makes sense on this one there is no ring it is completely smooth
