Default Mk1 Focus 1.8 clutch?

Hydraulic or cable? Bloke at work has some issues and has said the garage are putting it down to clutch slave cylinder. I always thought these used the IB5 box and normal cable operation?

hydrolic but the pipe often leaks causing issues aswell
