i love older cars but with the missus and a kid its just better to have a frs....

i had a mk1 after my old escos and its a 1000 times better than any cossie and the mk2 makes the mk1 look dated....

im doing central day in mine at least tho then will sell after , as i want the mk2 frs by the end of the yr

Load of drivel since page 6! Get a room, or have a race, or even better flop them all out and see who has the largest girth

The rad was recored about 8 years ago and has always been on the car.

My fan switch turns the fans on at about 89 and off around 75, this is going off my capilary gauge which has the sender in the block.

Switch 1 turned the fans on about 92 and off around 70

Switch 2 didn't even turn the fans on by 102, so replaced with my origanl switch which showed the same, on around 89 off around 75. Changed that for switch 1 which again showed the same results, on about 92 off around 70 so tried switch 2 again which again didn't come on by 102.

Switch 3 didn't turn the fans on until around 97 and would not turn the fans off, the temp would drop no lower than 70 with the engine running. Turned engine off and waited for fans to stop then restarted engine to circulate coolant and the temp showed around 68.
Fitted another capilary gauge just above rad fan switch, the 2 gauges showed a difference of 3 all through the heat range. Again fans came on around 97 on original gauge and 94 on second gauge, again the fans would still not stop running until the engine was turned off.

Refitted original fan switch and the fans come on and off as they always have.

Also my in car gauge was only a couple of degrees out from Tonys Pectel Monitor when the car was mapped.

Steve
