As above, What sort of money have you managed to get back? My misses car is an 02 st170 but now the clutch is slipping between idle and 3500rpm but then ok through to red line, so think flywheel knackered.. Could spend 500-600 in parts and fix it, sell it as is or break it.. not sure.
Other than this its been a great car!! Ideas on valuve for engine, box, shafts, suspension brakes etc be great..

Speak to Nomad on here, he's broken a few recently. They break very well so he says.
Is it really that much for a replacement clutch & flywheel, std one not a dmf?

Thats good money for the engine, Mine has 120k though.. but its sweet! dont burn oil, dont smoke or rattle and goes very well.. Its spend it early life up and down the M5 so little wear and tear compared to town driving low miles.
I do like it but I also fancy a Mk1 FRS and I know if I do the clutch then sell I dont think its will be worth while compared to breaking it and adding to the clutch money?

mind you. theres a few of the very first 02 reg focus's kickin around on ebay for around the 2k mark. hated mine, was the most gutless un responsive fuel drinking heap of shit ive ever owned, everything broke on it, one part was the speedo sensor in the gearbox, which cost me £119 for for, it was a piece of black plastic, with a connector on one end, that held in by a clip, about 1.5 inches long.. joke!!
