from what ive heard and read if i had a cosworth then it would be these guys that would get my car without a doubt
just had a thought as i was typing this, stu sanderson who created this forum is the owner or partner in msd and also writes in the technical section of fast ford mag and is a very knowledgable bloke
took it for a mot mate it failed on loads brakes pipes cv joint bushes welding the lot but anyways the emisions were more then double so to get them down the adjusted the screw on the ecu but ive been told i best get it all checked again before i use it
tbh its not really a full set up juat want someone who knows there stuff to check it and tell me if im ok to use it still dont want to cause any damage ect
[quote=AJC;5280913]Just put it on an afr machine at any
would any garage have this do you know mate i dont even know what it is air fuel ratio or something maybe lol ?? just gutted waited 2 weeks to get it now scared to use it lol
used motoscope on my old cossie.
but you only need the afr adjusting/checking, so jamie will be perfect cos he's local. He used to run a 400bhp sapph years ago, now messes with big power evo's.
he is a good friend of the lad i got my sapph from.
thing is since ive got it back its not idling high it drove fine from the garage it was just when a mate said it wasnt safe if its under/overfvueling now
Jamie is only 10 mins down the road next to the Arniston Centre in Durham, I wouldnt let motorscope touch my car after i went to a rolling rd day there
This would have been part of the setup so if it was setup correctly something has changed, you need to know what CO the author has written the chip for (In your case ask NMS) then set it accordingly, but it may be something more serious if it's suddenly changed, does yours hunt on a cold start, as this can cause it?
The CTS is the main corrective factor for the CO as the info is used for the base amount of fuel injected from freezing to boiling, these can go out of scope after a while so can send duff info.
the screw on ecu has nothing to do with fueling while the car drives i dont think? iirc its only to adjust the base idle emisions.
no mate its a global adjustment for the co so your adjusting it across the rev range!anyone of the tuners can do a set up fella, but if nms mapped it take it back to them to set her up
the mot guy said it just lowers the mono carbons or something and that it would lower the emmisons thats all i know mate
It is known as the "Global Mod" as it subtracts a percentage from the fuel map so if not correctly you can end up with insufficient fueling up top, so there is a lot more to it than that!

Id kick-up a fuss at the mot garage and make them pay for it...show them the receipt for the setup its had and the mileage to show its done no miles since done.....he should not have adjusted anything fuel wise as part of the test...
Id still check ya water temp sensor to....cause there will be a fault somwere for the emmisions to be that far out....plus with all ya starting probs ya been having...
scotty i still suspect the cts.i think i would get a local garage to put it back to were it was before the mot.then replace this sensor, take it back to the garage to see if its changed, the cost of the sensor is only 10.99 from msd or matt lewis.
pissing me off tho mate as i dont know how to do/check all these things people are saying its costing me an absoulute fortune and the garage dont know where it was they just turned it until the emiisons passed
