Default Fiesta ST & Zetec S

Hi - I wonder if anyone can advise

Probably going to get a 2006 ish Fiesta Zetec S for the missus (might plump for ST)

does it have sports suspension - I prefer not as we want it smoother rather than sportier.

thanks DC

my misses has the ST, with the 17'' alloys and low profile tyres it is naturally a firmer ride. The Zs with 16'' alloys and higher profile tyres will be a softer ride.

Not sure what spec the zs's can come in but hers is fully loaded and in the white looks really nice, she only does a couple of thousand miles a years and is far from a girl racer so it is a little wasted on her to be honest but it is what she wanted and doing so little miles she doesn't get bothered by the firmer ride (ooh eer!!).

My advice would be plump for the zs, cheaper to run, less firm ride and still has the looks of the st.

the misses little beaut...

The tdci's are supposed to be the nuts. I have an ST and thought the ride was fine until I lowered it. Keep it standard and unless you've been driving a Rolls Royce, you shouldn't find it too bad.

But honestly, tdci's are great for the MPG, tax is 35 quid and all mk6 fiestas handle bloody well!

cheers

trouble is we will only do about 4000 miles a year in it so a diesel is not needed.

just might as well get an ST if the ride is the same - insurance no probs due to age etc.

thanks DC
