Default Painting over chrome trim

My daily driver audi has too much chrome attached to it for my liking, how would you prep it and paint it matt black like i've seen on some other audis? I want to diy it but dont want it flaking off at the first hint of stone chip!

Preparation is the key mate, make sure you flat it properly so that all of the chrome finish is dull and then prime it with a decent acid etch primer...... should be fine if you do it right
