Default anti freeze made abit of a balls up

last year had my escort wrote off

as such waiting for insurance to go through it has been of the road, so before the snow came i decided to get it running again now that a court date has been decided and i will soon be back on the go. then when the weather hit i stupidly decided to start it without checking if it had froze up assuming it had plenty of antifreeze. i couldnt of been more wrong it was completely frozen solid and when it started you could hear the cam-belt jumping on the the water pump then it cut out, and i thought ah fuck, luckily the belt didnt snap and the timing never went out still looking at a new belt and water pump though now and any other repairs that maybe needed as a result

moral of the story? just remember to check your antifreeze maybe a bit late now the weathers here but if like me your cars been standing a while and you want to run it, its better to be safe than sorry even if theres anti-freeze in it

you obviously paid more attention to the anti-freeze than me and its not the starting thats the problem it starts well just a shame the water pump isnt an ice pump
