Nah you can't get it twice so that's why they didn't bother testing Chop.
Got offered to go a few years back but circumstances changed and moved to a different job, let me know how you get on, sure it'll be fine, what company, and what will you be doing???

Will do, although it's not guaranteed that i'll go, just depends if something else comes up in the mean time. Don't know what i'll be doing there yet, usually find out just before you go away. I work for National Oilwell Varco as a Mechanical Service Engineer so it'll be along the lines of a mechanical inspection/overhaul.

For any NOV kit possibly, although usually i work on mud pumps, drawworks, i've done a bit on top drives. I'm away to Baku to finish off a 5 yearly overhaul of a BOP.

I done a top drive inspection on 2 platforms there last month, was a canny 7 day trip. Baku is nice in the centre but once you tray away from the main street its a shit hole! It's safe enough to knock about in and go on the piss though! Safer than scotland anyway, lol.

I'm fully vaccinated, Yellow Fever, Jap Enc, etc. I work ad hoc so don't know when it will be and there's next to no chance of it being a rotation/rosta.

I'm unsure of the reasoning behind the HIV test, i was just informed by work that i have to have one. The other 2 lads that are pencil'd in to go have been told the same, so it's not just me, lol.

Yeah, got all the usual Hep A, Hep B, Rabies, Typhoid, etc.

Yup, got a 2 month supply of Malarone.

Ad hoc, is no fixed shift pattern or rotation, i work on call and get paid a basic wage/retainer for being at home, then day rate on top when i go offshore.
