i've had my steel toe capped boots now for a few years and they are really nice and comfy but they were provided by work and the new ones are a bit shit, so where can i find out where mine came from?

and if you need to wear steels, what make/model are yours?

they've been great in the snow and keep my feet fairly warn but they have started to let in water along the seam so i need a new pair, but seeing as i've not bought a pair for 15 years, not exactly sure what's good value or not

don't want them pull on boots though, need to be lace ups

I work out side and wear a good quality pair of walking boots made by brasher.not much help really if u need steels but i have seen some dew alt 1's and they look pretty good.

Easier for me as they slip on and off in seconds as I don't wear them all the time. Dead comfy though and warm in this cold weather. No good to you though Dojj if you need lace ups. DM lace up ones are just as recommended though as had a pair of them before.

as for the boots, need to be do up able but not high tall boots, but them doc martens look just about right

they dont exactlly stop them pmsl but they help, he lives in them 24/7, hes a tree surgeons helper

About Blu rangers, brilliant boots.

Offshore specific boots so they are lace up but also have a zip down the side for easy on and off. Have been good in the snow with a descent pair of socks on.

I think the retail is about £80 or something but i got mine off ebay for £15 or something brand new.

Work provided me with the ones below the ranger, the alpine, but they are not as comfortable.

These are my offshore work boots, Sievi XL S3, lace up up on the front with a zip down the side for quick fitting/removing.

i get mine off the snap on man. there branded snap on but obv made by someone else, very comfy and hard wearing £50. so good value too.

Dont bother with dickies, had these 6 months and they still dont feel broken in, cheap arco ones have always been okay for me.

I have had them now for 2 1/2 years and I'm a joiner on site. They are worn 5-6 days a week and they still look pretty good. The rubber on the front stops the toe from wearing away which is pretty handy. I will definately be buying some more once they wear out but I bet I have got another year left in them!

They're shite in my experience, none of the lads at work like them either, they look nice when you first get them but thats about it, theyre not that light/comfortable/flexible, they fall to bits very easily, dont deal with drilling mud, oil, water very well, makes the soles come away and the toe covering come off, in general they fall to bits. And you get filthy tying the laces every time you put them on/off.

Can't remember which brasher model they are b ut are goretex and are very comfy and with the right socks very warm i am currently wearing brasher -30 socks which also have a bit of gortex to help my feet breath very toostie

ill admit they aint too light but as for the rest id have to disagree, ive had my pair 18+ months and they have taken a hell of a lot of abuse, i usually need a new pair every 6-8 months

i used to wear these, but found they wore out very quickly..

so replaced them with a new brand called 'V12' and i've worn them out in 4 weeks

i'm going to try and get some better ones, been told Dewalt are good

i have always worn riggers and been through a lot of the one mentioned above and none compare to the Dr. martens gor-tex lined boots,very nice fit and very comfortable.

im a ground worker. and i go through a pair of boots every 6 to 8 months, and for the last 5 years ive used cat boots. comfy from the off ,dont rub, good sturdy boots. tryed timberland but didnt find these as good. you can get cheaper boots but there not as good/comfy. you got to look afer your feet.
